Ana Carolina Weber began her professional career as a public employee of the Federal Regional Court of the 2ⁿᵈ Region (Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo), providing services to specialized courts and assisting one of the Court’s judges dedicated to tax matters.
Ana Carolina Weber was a partner of Eizirik Advogados, having dedicated herself to different matters in corporate law. Regularly advised publicly-held companies in their internal organization, compliance with the obligations provided in the Law nº 6.404/1976, in the fulfillment of their duties with regulatory and supervision bodies, such as the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários – CVM) and the Brazilian Central Bank – BACEN, in the setting-up and development of operations of placement of outstanding shares and of deregistration of public-held companies. In addition, provided advisory services to entities in the market of investment funds, as well as acted in the negotiations and structuring of corporate reorganization.
Routinely, participated in the preparation of legal opinions issued by the firm she integrated.
In parallel, over the last 15 years, Ana Carolina Weber acted in arbitral proceedings, initially, as administrative secretary of Arbitral Tribunals and, later, as single arbitrator, coarbitrator and chairwoman of national and international Arbitral Tribunals. She has experience in arbitral proceedings administered by institutions such as ICC, CAM-CCBC, Câmara do Mercado, CMA CIESP/FIESP, CBMA, CAMARB, FGV, CAM AMCHAM and ARBITAC.
Additionally, Ana Carolina Weber integrates the list of reference of arbitrators of distinct national and international arbitration centers and chambers, being part of different associations. Since 2020, is the leader of task the force of arbitration and energy of ICC Brasil. Also, during the period of 2019 to 2022, she was co-chair of the Latin-American Subcommittee of Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge – ERA Pledge, still being part of such Subcommittee and of the Steering Committee of the ERA Pledge. Since 2019, coordinates the Study Group of Arbitration and Diversity of the Brazilian Committee of Arbitration– CBAr. Also, from 2017 to 2019, she was representative in Brazil of the Young Arbitration Forum of ICC and, between 2014 and 2018, integrated the board of directors of the ArbitralWomen.
Ana Carolina Weber also teaches regularly in grad and post-grad law courses, participating in several lectures and academic and professional events.
